Mount Dora Fun fact - The huge boulder that sits in Simpson Cove with a plaque detailing the history of Simpson Cove was discovered when The Simpson Family dug up the driveway of their North Carolina home. They hauled the boulder to Florida to replace the former dedication piece, which was weathered and decrepit. Our Parks Dept. used a forklift to place it on the lakefront for residents to appreciate the history of Simpson Cove.

3. Request Approval of Piggyback Agreement with Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc. for Pavement Maintenance and Rehabilitation Services

4. Request Approval of Amendment 2 to the Agreement Between the City of Mount Dora and Accurate Power and Technology, Inc

5. Request Authorization for Mayor to Execute the Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program Notice of Site Dedication and Limitation of Use for Forest Preserve

6. Request Approval to Apply for Florida's Urban and Community Forestry-Inflation Reduction Act Grant (UCFIRA) and Request Authorization for the Mayor to Sign the Application Once Complete

7. Request Approval to Apply for the Cultural Facilities Grant and Request Authorization for the Mayor to Sign the Application Once Complete

ACTION ITEMS

1. Request Approval of Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Mount Dora and the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police, Inc. - This passed 7-0.

PUBLIC HEARINGS - RESOLUTIONS/ORDINANCES

1. Request Adoption of Resolution No. 2024-08, Adding Friday, July 5, 2024, to the City's Observed Holiday Schedule. This passed 7-0.

2. Request Adoption of Resolution No. 2024-10, Signing of Acknowledgment of Statewide Mutual Aid Agreement 2023. This passed 7-0.

3. Request Final Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 2023-17, Mount Dora Groves South Annexation for Simpson Family Partnership LTD and Mount Dora Groves Co. Inc., (80.70 Acres). This passed 7-0.

4. Request Final Reading and Adoption of Ordinance No. 2024-05, 1st Amendment PUD Master Plan for Vista Hills. This passed 7-0.

DISCUSSION ITEM

1. City Manager Selection Process - A City Council Work Session is scheduled for April 4, 2024 at 6 pm to discuss two items. 1. Create City Manager Performance Standards and Evaluation Criteria; 2. Discuss the Process of Hiring a City Manager If Not Hired From Within.
